31st Master Division Championship Jim Knoll | Spyglass Hill & Poppy Hills | June 18-19


For the past


20 years the NCGA Master Division Championship has eluded Jim Knoll’s grasp. Hav- ing finished runner-up four times in the event, Knoll finally broke through and captured his first win with a three under 141 two-round total. An eagle on the ninth hole proved to be a turning point in the final round as he entered the hole tied for the lead and exited with a three-shot difference between himself and first-round leader Jeff Hoffman. Closing the round with nine consecutive pars gave Knoll a four- stroke win over the competition. The Sunnyvale resident has been arguably the hottest NCGA player around, having won his fourth NCGA major in the past 15 months and his first of 2012.
