Ramping up the Power SNW Europe, Datacenter Technologies & Virtualization World 2012
Plans continue to move forward for the 2012 editions of SNW Europe, Datacenter Technologies and Virtualization World brought together under the theme of “Powering the Cloud”. The three events are already attracting significant sponsor interest and delegate commitments. After their successful 2011 debut DataCore Software return for a second year as one of the Platinum sponsors with Emulex, Hitachi Data Systems back and Quantum returning for a ninth consecutive year. Other long-time supporters include QLogic, now in their eighth year and Texas Memory Systems returning for the seventh time while new names joining the 2012 roster include Rosenberger OSI, Solar Winds and Xsigo.
The 2012 conference program will take on a new look with a series of half-day mini-tracks hosted by leading analyst houses such as The 451 Group, IDC, Krischer & Associates and Demartek. Each of these mini-tracks will focus on a particular subject and be hosted by an analyst representative and feature a mix of vendor, end-user and where relevant SNIA content. Each mini-track will close with an open Q&A session for the audience and speakers to exchange views and get questions answered.
The full list of current sponsors is as follows: Platinum:
Gold: Silver+:
The planned topics for these new mini-tracks will include: £ Big Data £ Next Generation Data Protection £ Data security (in the cloud) £ The impact of virtualization (VDI & server) on storage £ Converged infrastructures £ Cloud storage £ Solid State Storage
Also new for 2012 will be a conference program specifically aimed at members of the reseller channel looking to migrate their business to a set of managed services platforms. Content for this part of the conference will be specifically adapted to the European audience and feature a mix of vendors and providers who will share best practices and openly discuss new business opportunities and pitfalls to avoid.
For delegates from commercial and government organisations interested in the field of managed services there will be content this year looking into the issues around outsourcing, hosting and co- location of IT services.
