The survey found that while diversity is very important to firms, many attorneys of color are lacking client contact, work-life balance, and mentoring relationships. of Change In honor of Black History Month, Diversity & the Bar looks at the remarkable career of attorney Oliver W. Hill Sr., one of the pivotal lawyers in the Civil Rights Movement. A Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient, he was instrumental in reversing segregation laws in Virginia. He was lead counsel for Davis v.
