Prof. Diran Apelian, John Jorstad Win British Foundry Medals Based on IJMC Work
Prof. Diran Apelian, Worcester Polytechnic Institute,
Worcester, Mass., and John Jorstad, JLJ Technologies Inc., South Hill, Va., were presented British Foundry Medals at the annual meeting of the British Institute of Cast Metals Engineers, held Oct. 19 at the Coventry Transport Museum, West Midlands, U.K. The awards were given to Apelian and Jorstad based
on the paper “Pressure Assisted Process for High Integrity Aluminum Castings,” as seen in the October and November (continued on page 62)
