The lead product and therefore the focus of the advertising for the Lumix range will be the Lumix TZ5 with the key message being it’s 10x optical zoom and 28mm wide angle lens. Last year, Which? Magazine celebrated its 50th birthday. Why is that relevant to Panasonic you might ask?Well, in Which? Magazine’s highly acclaimed 50 year history, one brand has achieved more Best Buys than any other company and yes, you guessed it, that company is Panasonic. So Panasonic are clearly a force to be reckoned with. But do they spring to mind straight away when you think of imaging? Possibly not. This is what the Everything Matters branding campaign sets out to change.

INSIDE:

Jason Mitchell, Cameraworld, says: “I’m really looking forward to Friday, it’s a lot of fun. It’s a unique opportunity to meet and chat with suppliers, and to grab some of the bargains available on the day, in time for Christmas. Principally that’s why I’m coming, because even if you deal with these suppliers anyway, a lot of the deals are exclusive to the show so you need to turn up to get your hands on them. This year will be especially good because it’s a great chance to see the stuff released at photokina before it hits the shops. I’m also looking forward to a couple of the seminars, and a free lunch of course!”

The advert shows the earth moving and rocks falling as the Sphinx moves towards the camera, with the tag line, “Distant objects can’t come to you, so Lumix takes you to them.” The message is that to be able to take good pictures, you NEED the Lumix TZ5. The advert is without question Panasonic’s most ambitious to date and will provide the foundation of the campaign, supported from mid May with advertisements in the specialist imaging press, lifestyle press and national press, plus below the line support from in store POS
