SHOWERS
THERMOSTATIC SHOWERING All Tavistock showers are thermostatic, enabling you to set and maintain a safe temperature for your family when showering.
TMV2 & SCALD PREVENTION - THE ULTIMATE IN FAMILY SAFETY TMV2 is a scheme designed to test the valves and prevent scalding in domestic situations. You can be assured that your Tavistock shower valve has been engineered to meet all TMV2 certifications and requirements, the standard for showering in domestic use. The patented thermostatic mixing cartridge within all Tavistock valves maintains the selected temperature during showering and will shut down the flow should the pressure or water supply fail at any time and prevent injury due to scalding.
MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE The TMV2 scheme recommends that the ideal hot water temperature from showers should be 41°C. To guarantee that the valve temperature cannot exceed the safe temperature of 44°C, a temperature control valve is fitted with a safety stop mechanism in all Tavistock shower kits.
ACCURATE TEMPERATURE CONTROL To ensure the temperature of the water is maintained at a safe level, the control mechanism inside the valve automatically compensates for any variations on supply pressure or temperatures within 2°C of its pre-selected temperature. Therefore it prevents scalding and ensures a comfortable and safe showering experience.
SUITABILITY & SHOWER OPERATING PRESSURE Tavistock has showers suitable for all plumbing systems. Those that are specified for use at 0.1 bar are suitable for all plumbing systems. Those specified at 0.5 bar minimum are suitable for use with modern plumbing systems or with an additional pump.
10 YEAR GUARANTEE All Tavistock showers are extremely durable and will provide an enjoyable showering experience for many years. All valves are put through the most rigorous testing and such is our confidence that we can offer a 10 year guarantee on all showers.
WRAS APPROVAL The entire range of Tavistock shower valves are WRAS approved in accordance with the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme, which requires that all showers use safe materials.
CHROME PLATING The highest standards in chrome plating have been achieved through extensive polishing and finishing techniques. In addition to this, all Tavistock showers have a special additive in the cartridge material to prevent lime scale residue, ensuring that your shower will perform well for many years to come.
