Working for you and with you
The Federation of Sports and Play Associations (FSPA) is the national trade body representing the UK’s
sports and play industries.
Member companies include manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, sales agents, and operators of
sports and play goods and services that act collectively to promote, develop and protect their industry.
FSPA works across four main sectors: angling, golf, sport and play.
The Sporting Goods and Play industries continue to be exciting, vibrant and stimulating sectors in the UK
and the FSPA is rightly proud to have such a vital role in the continuous development and promotion of
these industries.
Voice
At the heart of the industry, FSPA is the single point of contact for its members. Its mission is ‘To increase
participation in sports and play and to promote, foster and protect industry growth and vitality.’
Formed in 1919 and formally incorporated in 1926, FSPA has a long history of serving the industry. It
provides member companies with a comprehensive range of industry specific business support services, as
well as individual association benefits. The FSPA has the following associations under its umbrella:

Code of Practice
Each of FSPA’s associations adhere to its strict code of practice, ensuring member companies maintain a
high standard of quality and service, bound by FSPA regulations.
Through FSPA’s links with UK government, it works to raise the profile of the UK sporting goods industry.
This strong and united voice is also heard in the EU Parliament in Brussels through the Federation of the
European Sporting Goods Industry (FESI), of which FSPA is a member.
The work done by the FSPA over the last few years has been key in ensuring that the sporting goods
industry has remained at the forefront of strategic thinking in Whitehall and Brussels.
