into the bottom 20 per cent of the population
on multiple indicators of deprivation.
However, despite this, pupils at the
school have organised more than 300 charity,
campaigning and volunteering actions in the
past four years. They have written to Holland and
Barrett questioning why they do not stock Fair Trade
goods; made a presentation at the first Eco-Schools
Conference in Scotland; and organised a Fair Trade
