“I tend to be a “lumpy and bumpy” kind of scrapper. I love texture and dimension because I feel it brings
pages to life. To add dimension to the otherwise “flat” embellishments throughout this album, I folded the
punched flower petals in half before adhering them, and also curled up some of the petals. I added Ranger
Glossy Accents to a few of the die cut embellishments and to the title letters to make them stand out a bit
more. And finally, I used foam adhesive to adhere some of the cut up and inked phrases.
In order to fit the title die cut onto the album in the way I wanted, I cut it apart and adhered the word on
the front and the swirl elsewhere in the album.
I cut the word “Smile” from the center of a transparent circle embellishment and used the circle as a frame for
a picture of my son, Logan. Then I trimmed the word and used it to embellish a journaling card.
I tucked strips of patterned paper under the flowers on the cover to look like ribbon.
I cut a flower transparency in half and adhered one half to the front of the page and the other to the back of
the same page, giving it more depth.”
