When it comes to designing galleries and fairs from top to bottom—among them Art Basel as well as Art Basel Miami Beach and even its Hong Kong version—Dutch designer extraordinaire Tom Postma ticks off all the right boxes. Yes, he’s lent his considerable talents to London’s Frieze Masters along with Masterpiece, not to mention a slew of galleries from Colnaghi to Jorge Welsh. But now Postma is stepping up to the plate stateside. He’s just put the finishing touches on the inaugural TEFAF fair that will debut in the storied Park Avenue Armory in October. TEFAF.COM

Plans for the massive overhaul of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art are hotly anticipated, and Pritzker Prize-winning architect Peter Zumthor is slowly teasing out the details. Last summer, he unveiled new images of the forthcoming museum’s interior: an elevated procession of transparent galleries with glass walls and sinuous curves. The new LACMA is slated to open in 2023—fingers crossed. BUILDINGLACMA.ORG
