POLICE FLEET EXPO RETURNS TO MILWAUKEE! BY SCOTT COY

P

olice Fleet Expo 2015 in Milwaukee is just around the corner and we are excited to be back in this great city! We have more classes than ever before with an event planned for every evening. Our host hotel, the Milwaukee Hil- ton City Centre, will help you settle into this Lake Michigan shoreline city, making the transition from your busy work life to your busy PFE life even easier.

Hendon Expo Group is excited to get you registered for the Tuesday Ride & Drive event hosted at the Milwaukee Area Technical College. Put the latest of- ferings from the Big Three to the test on the closed course designed to help you experience the handling capabilities of these fantastic mobile offi ce platforms. While there, grab lunch and attend one of two educational sessions on CNG con- versions. Other vendors will be on hand for you to pass the time when you’re not behind the wheel of a car.

Wednesday we start off with open- ing ceremonies and shift gears into the Manufacturer sessions. You will hear fi rsthand from the best in the police

vehicle fi eld on the ins and outs of what is currently being offered by Chevrolet, FCA and Ford. Each session will end with a Q & A period, which allows you the opportunity to ask questions of those “in the know.” We will cap off the Wednesday sessions with a special guest speaker, Todd Christensen, a re- tired police offi cer from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety and au- thor of Out of the Darkness and into the Blue. Sit back and enjoy Todd’s stories and the role he feels the police vehicle plays in an offi cer’s daily life. Thursday will begin the educational sessions. Agency Dialogue Sessions, some of our most popular, start the day. Use your time with other attendees with similar fl eet sizes to exchange informa- tion and enrich relationships between you and the manufacturer representa- tives in the room. Two sets of concur- rent sessions follow with the fi rst being Fleet 101, Graphics Designs and Tie It All Together: An Upfi tters Perspective. Not wanting you to go home hungry for knowledge, three additional sessions will follow leading us to lunch and the open- ing of the exhibit hall. Those sessions will

be Whole Life Costing, Vehicle Leasing and In-Car IT. After lunch on your own, head to the Expo Hall teaming with the latest and greatest in police vehicles, products and accessories.

On Friday, start the day with picking up where you left off the day before as the Expo fl oor is open for business until lunch. Two more concurrent sessions will follow: Fleet Accident Reconstruction and Anten- nas, Routers and Connectivity. PFE will capstone with a favorite, Tire Forensics, presented by Firestone and Goodyear. In all, we have a great show planned for you in Milwaukee and we are excited to welcome you here Aug. 18–21. Please stay tuned to www.policefl eetexpo.com for class descriptions and further infor- mation. Until then, register to attend, book your hotel room, pick your classes, and travel safely!
