RIMMER Lynn Fauver Rim-

mer, a longtime figure skating professional, died of natural causes at home in Twin Lakes, Ohio.

She received her early figure skating

training at the Cleveland Skating Club and later taught there. She also taught figure skating in Troy, Ohio; Rockford, Illinois; and throughout northeastern Ohio, including Kent State University. She was a graduate of Laurel School and Allegheny College. Lynn was preceded in death by her husband Dick Rimmer, also a figure skating coach; son Hayes Rimmer; and father Benja- min Fauver. She loved figure skating, treasuring the time and experiences with her many students, colleagues and friends in the sport over the years. She also loved traveling, a habit that started with a trip to England with her grandmother Ann Bishop Thoburn, and she enjoyed the summers with her family at Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hamp- shire. Patricia Ann Jorgensen of Clifton Springs, New York, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Feb. 22, 2017 in Stuart, Florida, her winter home, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Patty was born on Feb. 1, 1940, in

Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) in Boston. Born on Nov. 8, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Diane M. and John Webber. She is survived by her husband, William Bowen, her dog Zeta and her many friends and students.

Michell attended Ursuline Academy in Dedham, Massachusetts, and taught figure skating for more than 35 years in Lake Plac- id, New York, and in the Boston suburbs. She was a lifelong member of The Skating Club of Boston, a PSA-accredited coach and served as a delegate at U.S. Figure Skating’s Governing Council.

She was a competitive skater in her childhood, a student under Gustave Lussi, Howard Nicholson and Carlo Fassi. As a coach, she achieved triple gold medal status; many of her students went on to compete in national figure skating events. Most recently she was involved with the Junior Bruins Program, teaching advanced skating skills to the next generation of hock- ey players. Her students were her passion. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. In her short time at the BIDMC, she touched many of the staff. She never lost her sense of humor and woke up each day with a Michell smile those around her knew and loved. Her family and friends are most appre- ciative of the amazing care and love shown by the BIDMC physicians, nurses, staff and religious support team.

Michell enjoyed living near the ocean, her beach and being a part of the P.I. community. She was a lady of grace and elegance. She loved the finer things in life, but was also a humble person. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to https://www.gofundme. com/webberswonders01

Clifton Springs to Marion Fox and Charles Wells. She attended Brighton High School in Brighton, New York, and continued to West- brook Junior College in Portland, Maine. After graduation, she began a retail career that spanned nearly 30 years at McCurdy & Co. in Rochester, New York. Upon retirement, she and her husband,

Tom, made their home in Lake Placid, New York, for almost 10 years, where she sought out opportunities to serve the local com- munity. She spent countless hours at the Olympic Arena managing hundreds of volun- teers for the Skating Club of Lake Placid and ORDA (Olympic Regional Development Au- thority) events, and was responsible for the Lake Placid Project Backpack program, as well as spending many hours in her kitchen mixing up a wide assortment of her delicious baked goods for a variety of deserving caus- es and people.

She found the time to be an exceptional

seamstress, an impeccable decorator, a talented homemaker and a thoughtful friend. She was named Lake Placid’s 2010 Volunteer of the Year. Of all her volunteer endeavors, however, the one nearest and dearest to her heart was a community lunch program that she recognized the need for, and she tirelessly took on the task of establishing it at the Adirondack Community Church. Their first lunch on Sept. 7, 2011, was served to just five fortunate people, but on the Wednesday of her death, a team of wonderful volunteers, many of whom had been there for that very first lunch five years earlier, served a warm, homemade meal to 80 people. Patty is survived by her husband of 55 years, Thomas Fredrick Jorgensen; her daughter Susan and husband Robert Yok- abaskas of Cape Elizabeth, Maine; her son Thomas and wife Kim of Skaneateles, New York; and her five beloved grandchildren: Lauren, Robert, James, Michael and Erik. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her honor can be sent to the North Elba-Lake Plac- id Community Lunch Program, c/o Adirondack Community Church, P.O. Box 511, Lake Placid, NY, 12946.
