Meet your new alumni chaplain


If you attend an upcoming alumni event, be on the lookout for the new- est addition to the Alumni Relations team: Patrick Dorsey, S.J. This spring, Father Dorsey took


on a new role as chaplain to the alumni community. For many alums, however, he’s already a familiar face. Since coming to Loyola in 2007, he has served in campus ministry and as spe- cial assistant to the vice president for advancement. As alumni chaplain he will bring a Jesuit presence to alumni events, work with donors, coordinate the acknowledgement of alums who have died, and work with alumni get- ting married in Madonna della Strada. A native of Evanston, Father Dorsey


earned a BA in education and taught grade school for 10 years before en- tering the Society of Jesus. He studied at the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, California, and was ordained in 1996. Prior to joining Loyola, Father Dorsey worked in campus ministry at Marquette University in Milwau- kee, where—as he continues to do at Loyola—he lived in a dorm to be closely connected with students. Father Dorsey is also chaplain for


the National Alumni Advisory Board (NAAB), Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD), Loyola University Latino Alumni Board (LULAB), and the Black Alumni Board.


Rocco Pucillo (BA ’97) received his MFA in screenwriting from UCLA in 2014. He took first place at the 58th annual Samuel Gold- wyn Writing Awards, and he cur- rently has two original features in development at Warner Bros. and Sony Pictures Animation.


Jennifer L. Dillon Kotz (JD ’98) was named one of the Top 100 Women Consumer Lawyers in Illinois by Leading Lawyers magazine. She works at Schiller, DuCanto & Fleck, the largest fam- ily law firm in the country.


David P. Glatz (JD ’99) joined Stradley Ronon as a partner in the firm’s new Chicago office. He serves as counsel to registered in- vestment companies on securities law and regulatory matters.

Zachary M. Raimi (JD ’00) joined HH Global as director of legal, Americas. His practice includes providing strategic legal advice, negotiating commercial con- tracts, and advising the company on employment law matters.


Jacob D. Koering (JD ’01) was added to Miller, Canfield, Pad- dock, and Stone PLC. He is a reg- istered patent attorney who has litigated more than 45 patents.


Aaron Tobler (BA ’01) won the 2015 United States Air Force Reserve Command’s Outstand- ing Airman of the Year Award. He was nominated for winning

Going for gold


After leading the Ramblers to back-to-back NCAA men’s volleyball championships in 2014-15, Thomas Jaeschke ventured to Rio this summer for his next challenge: bringing home Olympic gold. Jaeschke, who after attending Loyola signed a pro contract with Polish club Asseco Resovia Rzeszów, was selected as one of 12 players on the U.S. men’s volleyball team. He is the first Loyolan to play in the Olympics since Tom O’Hara (BBA ’64) made the U.S. track and field team for the 1964 Tokyo games.

Matthew Kopp (JFRC Spring ’03, BBA ’05) was promoted to partner at Jenner & Block. He was also selected as “Rising Star” among all lawyers age 40 and under by Super Lawyers.


Beata K. Krakus (JD ’03) was ranked in the 2016 edition of Chambers Global. She was recog- nized for cross-border/interna- tional franchise work.


Pamela Pierro (JD ’04) was named a partner in a new law firm, SpyratosDavis, LLC. The firm focuses on serving individu- als and businesses in commercial and civil litigation, claims and


lawsuits for money damages, and family law.


Caroline Shoenberger (MBA ’04) received a special honor from the Archdiocese of Chicago for her work as a lawyer and educator. She served as commis- sioner of consumer services for the City of Chicago from 1989 until her retirement in 2004.


Christopher J. Betti, PhD (JD ’05) joined Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP. He focuses on pharmaceutical work, including counseling biosimilar appli- cants in matters related to the Biologics Price Competition and Innovation Act.


Mary H. Cronin (JD ’05) was made a partner at Pretzel & Stouffer Chtd. She focuses on civil defense litigation matters.


William T. Eveland (JD ’05) was recognized as a 2016 “Rising Star” by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association. He is part of an elite list of legal professionals selected for their accomplish- ments and dedication to the field and the community.
