OBITUARIES Sonia Sorensen Phil Belding passed away July
20, 2014. He was 78. Belding was the chief metallurgist at Co- lumbia Steel Casting Co., and a member of the AFS Oregon Chapter.
Mike Dragomier died Aug.
9, 2014. He was 64. Dragomier was a longtime AFS member who served on the Cleveland- Akron-Canton Chapter’s board of directors and was a past
president. Dragomier was a Foundry Educational Founda- tion (FEF) Key Professor and the faculty advisor to the AFS student chapter at Kent State Univ., where he was an associate professor. Dragomier received the FEF Distinguished Pro- fessor Award and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers George Snyder Manufacturing Technology Educator of the Year Award.
