Would Baseball’s Greats Live Forever?


In July, Randy Johnson, Pedro


Martinez, John Smoltz and Craig Biggio were inducted into the National B aseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y. While these four greats produced enough memories to last a life- time in the minds of their fans, a more permanent exhibit will be installed in the Hall. Each player will have a 10.75 x 15.5-in., 25-lb. bronze plaque with his face, biography and notable achievements hung in Cooperstown. T ose plaques will join 72 others that were cast by Matthews International, a bronze casting facility in Pittsburgh. ■
