Pros Co. Acquires Texas Aluminum Casting Facility


Washington Iron Works supplies castings to the energy industries including wind.


In September, the Pros Co., a


full service machine shop based in Lubbock, Texas, announced the acquisition of Washington Iron Works in Sherman, Texas, a casting facility that produces aluminum castings and indus- trial bearings. “Washington Iron Works is a


legendary brand with extensive knowledge and expertise that will help us better serve our custom- ers,” said Rhett Newberry, CEO, the Pros Co. “We are proud to contribute to the company’s rich tradition and the thriving manu- facturing industry in Texas by hiring additional employees at the existing facility in Sherman.” Washington Iron Works’


50,000-sq.-ft. facility produces castings for a variety of industries including oil, natural gas, wind energy and mining. T e Pros Co. pursued the acquisition in an ef- fort to vertically integrate opera- tions to allow quicker develop- ment and delivery of complex applications, including those featuring castings. ■
