Victoria Voronko As team co-captain, Voronko relishes her leadership role

and knows that her continued success inspires her teammates to set lofty goals. “I love running and just try to do my best,” Voronko says. “I

always try to work harder because other runners look up to me and I have a responsibility to do well. I just create more goals for myself and try to achieve them.” After graduating, Voronko says she wants to join a running club and explore running professionally.

“Running makes me feel happy and free, and it also helps

combat stress,” she says. “I really can’t see myself not running. I just want to keep improving and applying what I learn in my classes to the sport. This semester, I’m taking a class in sports psychology and athletic training. These types of classes will help me meet my future goals.” To learn more about the Eagles men’s and women’s cross
