From the Field: Middle Tennessee Chapter Members of the Middle Tennessee Chapter (www.mtcmoaa.org) recog- nized and presented a certificate of merit to state Sen. Mark Green for supporting military members and their families during the 2014-15 leg- islative session. Green sponsored or cosponsored eight military-related bills, including the Criminal Justice Veterans Compensation Act of 2015. Tennessee now has the nation’s only funding mechanism to create and sus- tain veteran treatment courts. Green, a former Army doctor, also operates a free medical clinic. “Senator Green [reflects] the goals MOAA promotes that help servicemembers and their families,” says chapter President Lt. Col. Scott Cantlon, USA (Ret).

Pittsburgh Chapter Members of the Pittsburgh Chapter (www.moaa.org/chapter/pittsburgh) marked the chapter’s 50th anniversary and the 70th anniversary of World War II by honoring members of the greatest generation. Twelve local World War II veterans, including six chapter members, received cer- tificates of appreciation from MOAA President Vice Adm. Norbert R. Ryan Jr., USN (Ret). Col.
