FESTIVALS & EVENTS Womex takes places from
21st – 25th October in Budapest, Hungary. Senegalese musician Cheikh Lô will be honoured with this year’s Womex Artist Award and the official showcase selection includes A-Wa, Ana Tijoux, Blick Bassy, Dom Flemons, Germán López, Karolina Cicha & Bart Payga, Mamar Kassey, Martin Lubenov’s Jazzta Prasta, Rancho Aparte Chirimia, Sarabi, Tamer Abu Ghazaleh, Tritha Electric, Wu Man and Zoufris Maracas. Gypsy HeartBeats, will honour music from the Carpathian Basin, and its variety, by celebrating the musical impact of the Roma, with Attila Oláh, Romengo and Mónika
