The Analysis Forums

Has Spring arrived yet, for you?

As the weather starts to warm up, it is time to seize the chance for a bit of inspiration

Laurie Beagle Managing director, Forums International lauriebeagle@forumsinternational.co.uk

If you are like me, then you will not be a fan of the period after Christmas, when it is dark in the mornings and dark when you go home. I find it to be a time when it is hard to get myself motivated. Also my birthday is in February – there

have been too many of those! When you read this, hopefully, the first

signs of Spring will have arrived. Lighter mornings and, perhaps, even some sun. Sun always seems to put a smile on most people’s faces. I have always been the most motivated

person I know. I look forward to each day and the challenges it brings. With the forums we run being scheduled a year in advance, being organised is just a way of life for us. So what about you? Do you spend more

time under the duvet before Spring arrives, or are you at the gym before work and still first into the office?

A little sunshine At this time of this year, what we all need is some help with motivation. Somebody to bring some sunshine into our teams’ lives. There are many things that you can do.

Some suggestions are: l Charity fund raising can be fun, as well as a rewarding benefit. At Forums International, we are supporting Diabetes UK this year and they have a great fund-raising pack. l On the business side, we can all get hung up on the day-to-day tasks. So, what about process improvements? Have a competition in order to find solutions to old problems. Team and individual prizes do not need to be expensive, but the results can be both enjoyable and valuable.

March 2018 As well as bringing sunshine into the

business these activities can even help to build your team!

Pharmaceuticals forum Are you in the pharmaceuticals industry? If so, our new Pharmaceuticals Manufacturers Credit Forum may be for you. The next meeting will be on 10 May at
