fter 147 years of successfully looking after clients, the Jersey Mutual Insurance Society is still expanding its business into new markets.

Never one to rest on their laurels, Jersey Mutual is now taking on the insurance needs of large property management companies and wealthy investors.
“We’re confident that the totally unique way in which we operate will prove as attractive to the ‘high end’ of the property market as it has been with thousands of individual policy holders in the Island,” Jersey
Mutual’s General Manager, Roy Jeanne said. “Key amongst the benefits of using Jersey Mutual is our local base, and the ability to get someone to a client in very quick time if there’s a problem.”
Mr. Jeanne said that rather than being stuck at the end of a phone queue at a call centre based overseas, Jersey Mutual has 27 directors available outside of the office to help when
needed to service the company’s policies. That can make all the difference between a major problem which takes days to sort out and quick action to prevent the problem getting worse.
“If your roof is damaged in a storm, would you rather have someone call around immediately to assess the damage and help sort out the claims, or would you like to be sitting on the end of a phone for hours?” Mr. Jeanne asked.
