Activity 24 Positional instructions Work in pairs with the following coloured counters.


Can you use the following instructions to place the counters into a pattern? Check your answer with your teacher.


- Place the three blue counters in a horizontal line in the middle of your table. - Place the red counter directly above the middle blue counter. - Place the yellow counter above the red counter. - Place the green counter directly underneath the first blue counter on the left. - Place the orange counter to the right of the yellow counter.


Using the same set of counters now create your own arrangements and write your own set of instructions for another team to follow.
