The number of displaced people worldwide now stands at a staggering 60 million – equivalent to the population of Italy. Every day, war, conflict and persecution force tens of thousands more to flee their homes.* While the conflict in Syria and the resulting flood of migrants into Europe dominates the headlines here, the problem is a global one.
