Conex Bänninger has seen unprecedented demand for its Press copper fi tting range, with stockists’ shelves being emptied out over the summer. Press copper is suited to heating system applications and hot and cold water applications. It was offi cially launched in January this year in response to feedback from trade professionals wanting Conex Bänninger to introduce an M-profi le range to complement its extensive product portfolio and established Profi le catalogue. Fast forward to September, and those stocking the product

were surprised by the rising customer demand from installers and contractors. Martin Smith, Business Unit Director – UK & Ireland, commented: “M-Profi le is the leading profi le in the UK press-fi t market and introducing our own high-quality products, backed up by a 25-year guarantee, was long overdue and made sound commercial sense. “Whilst the M-Profi le market is a long-established and competitive arena, we were confi dent that the Conex Bänninger pedigree, coupled with our recognised technical expertise and the quality of materials used in manufacture, would ensure demand would grow. As expected, it has taken some time for the trade to become fully aware of the Press copper range, but that is clearly changing. “We now need to step up the number of units being manufactured to fulfi l existing demand and capitalise on a growing market awareness of the benefi ts of Press copper. Installers and contractors can be assured of ‘peace-of-mind ‘that every joint will be leak-free thanks to an unpressed joint indicator O-ring.”

Compatible with most M-profi le jaws, Press copper provides quick, straightforward installation with a reliable two-point press for permanent, fl ame-free connections. Available in 15–54 mm sizes, it has a 16-bar/110°C rating and holds WRAS and DVGW approvals.

Star Refrigeration has unveiled Azanechiller 3.0, the latest evolution of its low-charge ammonia chiller, setting a new standard for industrial cooling effi ciency and sustainability.

Designed and manufactured in the UK, Azanechiller 3.0 exceeds EcoDesign energy effi ciency targets by up to 110%, using up to 52% less electricity than standard models. It outperforms UK competitors by as much as 20% in Seasonal Energy Performance Ratio (SEPR), making it the most effi cient low-charge, air-cooled ammonia chiller on the industrial market. Capable of operating across a temperature range of -20°C to +25°C and cooling capacities up to 1,600kW, the plug-and- play chiller is suitable for food processing, pharmaceuticals, data centres, ice rinks and temperature-controlled storage. Engineered for resilience, it off ers a 25+ year lifespan and robust safety features, including portable safety showers, enclosed electrics, and optional access ladders. Environmentally, the Azanechiller 3.0 is future-proof in that it is F-gas and PFAS regulation-exempt with a low ammonia charge (0.18kg/kW), and optimised for ambient temperatures up to 40°C. The system is also Ethos-ready, allowing real-time AI-based data analysis and energy optimisation. Azanechiller 3.0 aims to deliver a reliable, energy-effi cient, and sustainable cooling solution that supports businesses on their journey to Net Zero.  www.star-ref.co.uk
