ecumseh is celebrating its milestone 90th anniversary this year with the extension of R290 reciprocating compressor capability to 10kW (MHBP) and 3kW (LBP). The complete range will be represented at Chillventa. Tecumseh manufactures R290 compressors for supply to global markets with centres of excellence in Brazil, India and France. The design cycle is lengthy but necessary. Tecumseh’s reputation for robustness and longevity is by design, without cutting corners. R&D teams in all centres of excellence have worked together to optimise design, apply simulations for applications, culminating in exhaustive laboratory testing.” Lionel Audouy, director of integrated products says: “Customers rely upon Tecumseh to guarantee performance and our Labs accredited to Cofrac along with our also have ongoing projects and long-standing relationships with key universities that help us in the development cycle. Success in design and testing works hand in hand with Procurement, Logistics and Plant Engineering to move from concept to reality.”

by creating a dedicated ‘quick response’ production line
production by using a dedicated module from Tecumseh. Changes to promote use of R290 has accelerated the implementation of this dedicated line and helped customers improve lead times for supply of goods to global markets.
