Global Cooling Pledge positively received by industry


The 28th


meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), more commonly referred to as COP28, began on rocky ground with the BBC reporting on leaked documents purporting to demonstrate that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) intended to use its role as hosts of the conference to make oil deals. This was followed by the Environmental Investigation Agency (EIA) reporting that R22 and R410a air conditioning units were being used to cool the event.
