A call-out for your comments


There is something missing from this edition of The Journalist, which I think is a great shame – the letters and feedback pages. For some time our letters have been thin on the ground


and we’ve tried to boost the contributions by inviting short comments and printing the tweets we receive. But sadly this time there weren’t enough contributions of any


sort to fi ll even a half page, the minimum space we could run. Other magazines similar to ours have unfortunately had to


dispense with their letters and comment pages. But I think to do that would be a real setback for The Journalist. So I’d like to encourage as many people as possible to send


their comments and observations to journalist@nuj.org.uk or tweet to @mschrisbuckley please. As an incentive we will pay £30 for the best letter or extended comment (max 200 words) and £10 for the best tweet. I know that busy working journalists have little time but I do hope we can keep our letters and comment section alive.
