VENUE REVIEW
TJ reviews… Lucknam Park
T
o kick off our new Venue Review we visited Lucknam Park – a beautiful venue set in a 500-acre estate just six miles from historic Bath. Built in 1720, the first thing you’re greeted
with is the magnificent mile-long drive, lined with imposing beech and lime trees. Although situated in beautiful woods and parkland Lucknam Park is within a taxi ride of either Bath Spa or Chippenham train stations. Travelling from Paddington to Bath Spa we had arrived and checked in within two and a half hours, so certainly do-able if planning an overnight stay.
Once inside the 42-room Palladian mansion you’ll find a beautifully designed and welcoming country house hotel. True to its rich history, as a former privately owned estate, the rooms in the main house are stunning, most with open fires and all individually decorated to offer guests a grand but still warm and friendly atmosphere. To the back of the building is the newly
refurbished annex which houses more luxuriously
Well-proportioned and fl exible, the meeting space on offer does not disappoint and there is capacity for small and large events
