NCFE Art and Design
Level 2 Certificate 28 weeks
You will explore a wide range of working methods and will undertake practices in Fine Art, Photography, Printmaking and Sculpture.
This is a certificated course and can lead onto the Access Art and Design course.
Darkroom photography 4 weeks
An introduction to darkroom Photography and re –discovering film. This course will involve film processing, experimental image making and using non digital methods of photography and negative printing.
Learn to Cook 12 weeks
This course covers basic skills and knowledge and is suitable for anyone with an interest in cooking. The course will cover desserts, dough products, butchery and fish, along with basic kitchen health and safety i.e. food hygiene and knife skills.
Basic Sewing 6 weeks
This course will give you the skills to make basic alterations to your own garments. You will be led through a series of workshops which with help you to get the best out of your sewing machine and how to start making your own garments.
Printmaking 6 weeks
This course will explore printmaking techniques and allow learners to experiment with mark marking styles. The course will expose learners to many different printmaking methods and you will have time to produce work in your preferred style and method.
First Steps in Computing 8 weeks
This course will increase your confidence in using a computer. The supportive tutor will help from turning on your computer to writing letters, creating posters and spreadsheets, using the internet and so much more.
