AWS joins BBVA digital journey


computing deal with Amazon Web Services (AWS). One of several agreements that the Spanish FI is forging with strategic providers, this will see AWS become its preferred cloud infrastructure services provider.

BBVA has been using AWS to run its analytics application for Commerce 360 (currently available in Spain), and will now look to migrate selected components of its platforms to the cloud. It will also create a ‘Cloud Community’ to improve knowledge sharing and adherence to architectural

Scott Thompson Ecobank signs landmark Masterpass deal


Understanding (MoU) with Mastercard to roll-out its Masterpass mobile payment offering across 33 African countries. The FI says that the agreement will enable it to achieve its 100 million customer ambition by 2020.
