JETBLUE HOST NI AGENTS


ON 1st February 2024, JetBlue hosted an event for Northern Irish Travel Agents at The Darkhorse, Belfast.


The JetBlue event took place at the historical Darkhorse in Belfast, as agents were welcomed under the umbrellas on Hill Street, they enjoyed a jetBlue Mint cocktail special and nibbled while networking with the team from JetBlue.


JetBlue are the new full service transatlantic carrier to start service from Dublin Airport 14th March offering lots connections same day to USA & Caribbean. jetBlue’s Caitriona Toner & Francis McCabe took to the blue spotlight to share with the agents all that jetBlue has to offer. They introduced the team and talked through the JetBlue offering :- Free wifi onboard every flight, free seat assignments, complimentary alcoholic and non alcoholic beverage, A self service snack area called ‘The Pantry’ in their economy class cabin, Seatback TVs.

The Advantage Travel Partnership Reports Record-Breaking Trading Week


TRAVEL TRADE NEWS | 61 THE Advantage Travel Partnership has


reported all-time record high sales , with Brits continuing to prioritise travel during the cost-of-living crisis. Saturday 13 th January was the busiest day ever recorded amongst Advantage’s travel agency partners, taking a 19 percent share of the week’s bookings. Throughout the week there was also a significant increase in high value bookings to a range of destinations including the Caribbean, USA, Gran Canaria & Canada. Over the last week, Advantage saw bookings up 14 percent and revenue up 23 percent when compared to the same week last year despite an already strong performance in 2023. In comparison to the previous week, bookings were up 35 percent and revenue was up 41 percent whilst the average booking value was up by 5 percent on the previous week and up 7 percent on the same week last year. Of those bookings, summer 2024 was the top selling season with a 51 percent share of all bookings. June was the most popular departure month taking 12 percent share, followed by February with a 10 percent share.

ON Tuesday 9th January 2024, Thompson Travel’s Holiday Showcase 2024 welcomed over 600 attendees at the Seagoe Hotel, Craigavon. Attendees had the opportunity to meet and mingle with 35 travel companies, alongside a dancing bear!Taking to social media, Thompson Travel highlighted the success of the evening, “We just wanted to send a quick note of thank you to all who attended our Holiday Showcase at the Seagoe Hotel. Over 600 attendees visited over 35 of the best travel companies in the UK, all in the one night!”
