SPEAKING OUT With growth comes responsibility
DECEMBER’S SPEECH from the throne promised a responsible fiscal plan, but CPA Canada will continue to push the government for tax reform as a way to strengthen the economy. “Canada’s tax system is one of the most important policy levers available for
addressing the country’s demographic challenges and for ensuring that its business environment remains competitive,” says Kevin Dancey, CPA Canada’s president and CEO.
There has been no significant review of the country’s tax system since the
Royal Commission on Taxation in 1966. CPA Canada’s call for tax reform is echoed by major national organizations, economists, think-tanks and the House of Commons finance committee.
“I like the campaign’s simple visuals,
strong messages, multi-audience approach and most of all its consistency with the brand identity”
