Canadian CPAs on the IFAC board
THE 23-PERSON BOARD of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) became one CPA stronger at its council meeting in Rome on Nov. 7, 2014. Joy Thomas, CPA Canada’s executive vice-president,
joins Carol Bellringer, auditor general of British Columbia, who has been on the board for the past two years. “Canada now has a strong voice at the international
table,” says Bellringer. “We’re helping to guide the development of IFAC’s standards.”
