East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm Onshore works

To export the power generated by the wind turbines to the national grid, all offshore windfarms have an element of onshore works.

The East Anglia THREE Offshore Windfarm would connect to the national grid via a new substation adjacent to the existing substation at Bramford, Suffolk. This is the same connection point as the East Anglia ONE Offshore Windfarm. The location is shown on the map below.

Cable installation To minimise disruption to local communities and reduce the environmental impacts, ducting will be installed by East Anglia ONE Limited for two future projects to enable cables to be pulled through them, which means that open trenching will be unnecessary. East Anglia THREE will be the first to benefit from this strategic decision.
