FR-872 LARGE IR PREHEATER

The Hakko FR-872 IR Preheater includes a software feature to control ramp rate for heating sensitive components. Designed to elevate the temperature of printed circuit board assemblies so the components can be soldered and desoldered more easily and with improved results, particularly on high-mass boards, which can “heat-sink” a significant amount of energy from a soldering iron tip or hot air tool. The FR-872 incorporates a new heating method and a closed-loop thermocouple control. The preheater array has four (4) separate switchable zones for smaller PCBs used in devices similar to PDAs and cell phones.

FR-870B 2-BANK IR PREHEATER 45

• 248 mm x 140 mm PCB capacity • Soft EPO to protect assemblies • Integrates with Hakko FM-206 • Manual or Automatic modes of operation • Preheat control by Power or Thermocouple • 2 independent switchable zones • Small footprint and low profile • Ramp rate control settings of 1, 2, or 3°C/sec. • Faster than ceramic IR preheating
