them. You can’t take tomorrow’s BMW and drive it. That’s all just thought. So, since your whole past and your whole future are all thought, that only leaves you with now.
Now is how you think and what you fill your thoughts with. If your thoughts are harmony and ease and serenity and love – and that’s all you have to give – then that’s what you will be giving.

Human beings are multidimensional. We think we’re just one-dimensional – maybe two. We don’t see that there are hundreds of dimensions – all a part of the transitional process we call humanity.
One of the dimensions that defines our humanity is thought. Thought is always in transition. You can’t stop it, age it, or hold it.
No matter what conditions exist in your life, you have an element of con- trol over them. One of the mysteries for most people is how to make things outside of themselves work better. You can improve the outside circumstances through your ability to think. Thought is an endless energy that goes on and on. And, once you know that thought defines who you are, I suggest you think about everything that’s ever happened to you up until this moment. Understand that all of it – up until right now, in this moment that you are alive – is in the realm of
thought. You can’t touch any of it. You can’t have any of it back. And yet, it’s very real for you. You can get very emotional about it. You can even have experiences through that thought. But you can’t ever have it. You can’t ever touch it in the physical sense. The whole experience of your past up until this very second is all in thought...and nothing more. Yet it’s very real.
Then, I suggest that you think about everything that’s going to happen to you from this second on – which is also nothing more than pure thought. You can’t have any of that either. You can’t touch tomorrow. You can’t take hold of your goals. You can’t have those and dissect them and treasure
If you can learn to be a constant ob- server of your own thinking, you will reach your higher consciousness. This is the part of you that is able to stop yourself in the middle of anything you’re doing. Say to yourself, “This isn’t the only me. This is just what I have to go through at this time.” I’ve got a glass of water and you say to me, “Is the glass of water real?” I say that the question is not whether it’s real or not, but, “Does it slake my thirst? Does it serve me in the way I want it to?” If it does that, then I don’t care whether it’s an illusion. In other words, whatever helps you make your life work, don’t argue with it. Don’t fight it. Don’t do anything with it – just stand back and have one little corner of your consciousness that says, “I’ve put myself into this act. This is the play I am in. This is the role I have chosen. There must be a rea- son for me to choose it, so I’m going to go through the role – but I’m never going to let the role destroy me.” That’s the key.
I truly believe you can transform yourself. Transformation means the ability to go beyond your form. Trans- form-ation. When you can see that, you’re much more than just form. You are able to pre-transform what you are in this moment and what you may become in the future.
A lot of people think they are their packaging – and that the package is more important than what the pack- age contains. But what the package contains is your ability to be anything that you want. That’s what’s important.
