Analysis – The volume of deals has shot up in the fi rst half of 2014. There were above fi ve times the average number of deals in the fi rst half of 2014 than over the last seven years. The average value of deals has remained relatively fl at – refl ecting an appetite for simpler, smaller deal structures.
