How to Take the Remedies Basics

Unless otherwise indicated on the label, the best way to take our small tablets and pellets is to pour 3-4 into the lid, spill under your tongue and let them dissolve in a clean mouth (best to avoid eating 15 minutes before and after a dose). If symptoms do not change, try avoiding contact with strong coffee, mints, menthol or strong odors, as these can antidote the remedies, especially if you are sensitive to them.

Frequency

How often you dose is more important than the number of tablets you take. You can dose more frequently the more severe the symptoms, even every 5 or 15 minutes for a few doses. Otherwise, 1-3 doses per day, or as needed, is standard for lower potencies. When symptoms improve, you should stop dosing and trust that your system has the message, especially when working with single remedies and higher potencies. Combinations often call for more frequent dosing than single remedies and lower potency singles call for more dosing than higher potencies. For more information on potency, see page 38.

Lactose based tablets come in 6X and 30X. They dissolve under the tongue almost instantly.

Do your products have an expiration date?

In the US, the FDA has exempted homeopathic manufacturers from putting expiration dates on their product labels. While noth- ing lasts indefinitely, homeopathic medicines are safe to use when stored under normal conditions (away from moisture and exces- sive heat or cold). If you notice the appearance of the medicine has changed, you should replace it.

Are these remedies herbal?

No, while many remedies are derived from plants, even herbs, their method of preparation and highly defined principles of ap- plication are unique to homeopathic medicines.

Who can take homeopathy? Everyone!

You’re never too old, young, weak, strong, sickly or healthy to benefit from homeopathy. For children under 2 years of age, pro- fessional guidance is recommended with every form of self-care.

For babies, do tablets need to be placed under the tongue?

The soft tablets dissolve very quickly so you can put them on baby’s cheek, between cheek and gum or under the tongue. For harder tablets or pellets, crush them between two spoons or dissolve them in a teaspoon of water before dosing.

Should I keep dosing until the bottle runs out?

Not usually– unless your homeopath or program advises it. In general, it is best to stop dosing when you feel a marked improvement or change, even if after only one or two doses. See Frequency discussion in left column.

Is homeopathy safe to take with my other medications?

Yes, prescriptions, OTCs, supplements, etc.– homeopathy has no contra indications and because it works with the body’s own resources, it has no risk of habituation or ‘druggy’ side effects.

What role does the FDA have in homeopathy?

Two organizations are involved in the standardization and overseeing of homeopathic production, the FDA and the HPUS. The Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the US (HPUS) establishes the tests, standards, assays and production methods for each remedy it incorporates. The FDA uses HPUS monographs plus the same rules and regulations it applies to other forms of medicine to oversee and scrutinize homeopathic manufacturing, production and labeling.

The claims for our homeopathic products are based on tradi- tional homeopathic practice. They have not been reviewed by the Food and Drug Administration. Homeopathic medicines are not herbs or supplements; they have been officially recog- nized as drugs in the US since their inclusion in the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act of 1938.

What if I am lactose intolerant or am sensitive to milk? pellets are available in 30C,

and 200C. Note: Photos are shown at approximate size.

26 Sucrose based

All the lactose in our tablets is pure Lactose N.F. (National Formu- lary), which is without the casein, whey or other milk proteins that usually trigger reactions to dairy products. Also, the N.F. lactose in our tablets amounts to very little per dose. If still concerned, you can ‘plus it’: put a dose in a small glass of filtered water, stir vigor- ously with a metal spoon and take a sip of that as your dose.
