I wish I’d written…
When I was eight much to my father’s disapproval I spent a summer bingeing on the Famous Five, which is no doubt why he brought home a brand new paperback of Moonfleet. As soon as I opened the book I knew this was something special. I realise now it was the first time I experienced the joy of reading good writing – which is why I would love to have written Moonfleet.
I still love Moonfleet.

enjoyed reading about the Manga and Comic books as I love those. I didn’t realise how much pollution there was in Japan until I read this book, I even quizzed myself on some of the facts so that I can remember them for when I go back to school. I would recommend this book to a friend and would like to now read about a new country. I rated this book 5/5 stars! Adam Year 5

This made me laugh a lot. I would recommend this book to a friend. I’ve drawn a picture to show my favourite part of the book. I rate this book 5/5!

all the different kind of sweets and chocolate. One boy falls in the chocolate river which is really funny, he is called Augustus and he gets stuck in a pipe. There are Oompa Lumpas in the factory which is funny too. My favourite part of the book is when Charlie gets his golden ticket and Grandpa Joe jumps out of bed and starts to dance! I love Roald Dahl books and this is my favourite. I would recommend this to a friend as it’s funny and so good I couldn’t stop reading it! I rate this book 5/5! Gracie Year 4

This book is about a boy called Charlie and his adventures in a Chocolate Factory with other children who won golden tickets. Charlie didn’t think he would get a golden ticket but he did! He got invited to Willy Wonka’s Chocolate factory and he took his grandad with him. It was funny, interesting and a real page turner. I loved hearing all about the factory and

This book is about a girl who rides a horse. The girl has had a terrible life; she lives in a care home with no mum or dad. It made me sad but the book is good and I like the bit at the end because she is happy. Riding the horse makes her happy and I like how the plot unravels and they go on the hunt to find the horse’s old owner. She wants to look after the horse herself and adopt it but her uncle says they have to find its old owner. She finds herself at the Kentucky Derby
with races. My favourite part of the book was when she went to find the horse. I couldn’t stop reading it at bedtime. I liked this book a lot and I want to read more by this author. I would recommend this to a friend and I gave it 5/5 stars! Karla Year 4

I chose this book because I love ponies. This book is about a little girl that wants to take care of a pony. I liked that she finds a way to take care of the pony. The pony sounds so nice and she gives it a home when it doesn’t have one. I would like a pony and if you would like one or have one already you will like this book a lot. I would recommend this book to a friend and I have done, my friend loved it too. I would rate this book 4/5.
