If you’re the Health and Safety Manager of a facility, whether it’s a hospital or a gym, the chances are somebody somewhere is going to end up working at height, if it’s not to clean the windows; it’s to re-paint a damaged surface or change a light bulb.
Many people are shocked that something as simple as changing a bulb is considered ‘Working at Height’ but astonishingly, a fall of just 1.2 metres is enough to cause a fatality, hence why this edition of Tomorrow’s Health and Safety has a section dedicated to ensuring that that doesn’t happen.
We are also delving into the world of Waste Disposal and Recycling, with a look at Biffa’s new CCTV installations that prevent harm coming to those sleeping rough, by helping them to been seen by drivers and not injured by the trucks.

4 TANITA CROSS, EDITOR
Of course we will be reviewing this year’s ever-successful Safety and Health Expo, where I was fortunate enough to catch up with so many of you and meet a whole host of new faces. Whilst we were there I was able to deliver trophies to the winners of our coveted product awards, so I’ve also enclosed a few images of our happy victors.
I look forward to seeing you all again soon, and I hope you will enjoy the summer issue!
Hello everyone and welcome to the June issue of Tomorrow’s Health & Safety.
