New Year, New Design For Dustcontrol UK
Dustcontrol UK has launched a redesigned version of its ambient air cleaners, updating the specifi cations to improve effi ciency and versatility.
The mobile extractor range has been modifi ed to improve its extraction capabilities, allowing the end user greater fl exibility with the inclusion of a newly designed fi lter that helps to lessen the risk of dust being released during the course of changing the fi lter, whilst also allowing for an additional hose attachment.
The DC Air Cube 1200 and the DC Air Cube 2000 are the two models that have been redesigned, with the changes seeing the front fi lter that previously wrapped around three sides of the machines changed to a 315mm inlet that sits alone on the front, with a cartridge fi lter inside. The remaining sides are now in stainless steel, improving robustness, overall appearance and the machine’s longevity, with units expected to last
A First for Filters
A new UK manufactured air fi ltration and fragrance system called ECOBreeze that fi lters out all smells, rather than masking them, is now available.
ECOBreeze is the fi rst air care product that has a triple action system. First, it draws air through a dust fi lter to remove all airborne dust particulate; air is then directed through a sophisticated carbon
a minimum of seven years before needing to be replaced.
The newly designed models come at the same cost but provide two key additional benefi ts. Changing the fi lter is now a much easier process and there’s less risk of releasing dust when replacing an old one, which is important when dealing with hazardous dusts. The second benefi t is the ability to attach a hose or duct to the 315mm inlet. This means that the user can attach it to a canopy or locate the Aircube in a different area/room from where the extraction is taking place, making it much more versatile.
James Miller, Dustcontrol UK’s General Manager, said: “The fact that some dusts are extremely hazardous makes the redesign an important improvement. Whilst the previous version was very effi cient at removing dust from the atmosphere, changing the fi lter posed a slight risk to any workers who were insuffi ciently cautious in their approach. The new fi lter means there is less chance of coming into contact with dust at all.”
The recent modifi cations are the latest in a series of improvements to the range. Last year the models were
fi lter to extract smelly organic molecules. Finally the clean air passes over a wicking system that releases a fragrance leaving the air in the washroom, kitchen or corridor clean, fresh and fragrant. Its attractive, ergonomic design means that it is suitable for all areas in all commercial premises.
The ECOBreeze was launched with commercial fl exibility in mind, making it suitable for Service Providers, FM companies and end users. The functional, economical and environmental benefi ts of ECOBreeze are applicable to all purchasers as servicing is quick, easy and can be carried out as part a cleaning schedule.

ECOBreeze also has strong environmental credentials, as it does not produce ozone. Traditional automatic air fresheners leave irritants in the air and utilise aerosol canisters and batteries, both of which can be hazardous.
