TOUCAN PLAY THAT GAME

Robert Scott & Sons tell us all about their new partnership with Centrego, the company behind the Toucan range of ElectroChemical Activation (ECA) products. We find out all about the benefits of this new range as it promises to clean and disinfect hard floors, without the need for any chemicals.

Robert Scott & Sons Ltd has recently announced an agreement with Centrego Ltd to work together to promote and distribute Centrego’s range of ElectroChemical Activation (ECA) products.

Centrego Ltd design, develop and manufacture ECA systems especially designed for the professional janitorial market – The Toucan Range, which create an eco-friendly, chemical free, low cost cleaning solution – the ‘New Solution’ – that is proven to kill up to 99.999% of microorganisms such as E.Coli, Salmonella, Staphylococcus Aureus, MRSA, Listeria and Bacillus subtilis.

The Toucan Range of ECA Water systems generate mixed cleaning and disinfectant solutions on-site using just tap water and salt, producing the New Solution, which is an extremely safe, highly cost-effective and environmentally sensitive cleaning fluid for use in a wide range of facilities including schools, nurseries, offices, hotels, pubs, restaurants, shops, public buildings and clinics. The New Solution is effective at cleaning and disinfecting all hard surfaces and will also remove stains from carpets and fabrics.

Alastair Scott, Sales Director at Robert Scott & Sons Ltd, said: “This is an exciting new development for us and is further demonstration of our commitment to introduce innovative new product lines to our customer base. The Centrego range of Toucan ECA water systems offer an extremely eco-friendly, cost effective and independently tested and proven way to clean and disinfect hard flooring surfaces

without the need for chemicals of any kind and the environmental problems associated with them.

“We will initially be offering the Toucan 12, 25 and 40 litre machines, which we feel are the most relevant to our customer’s needs especially those involved within the Healthcare and Catering Sectors.”

Robin Turner, Director of Centrego Ltd, added: “In a research project recently carried out by the University of the West of England’s Department of Biological, Biomedical and Analytical Sciences, Centrego’s Toucan products were proven to kill up to 99.999% of microorganism such as E. coli, Salmonella, Staphylococcus aureus, MRSA, Listeria and Bacillus subtilis. By combining the strengths of both our companies, we are confident that the operational, environmental and commercial benefits of using ECA systems in cleaning and disinfecting tasks can be more widely promoted, resulting in cleaner, safer and more cost effective workplace environments.”

ECA TECHNOLOGY “The solutions generated by the Toucan units have been proven to destroy microorganisms very quickly and comprehensively – using only water and salt,” added Professor Darren Reynolds, from UWE’s Department of Biological, Biomedical and Analytical Sciences. “They are highly effective against bacteria, viruses, spores and fungi, providing protection to water, surfaces, fabrics, foodstuffs and people.”

ECA Technology is the term used for Electrical Chemical Activation processes that produce powerful but entirely safe disinfectants and cleaning
