he phone always starts to ring shortly after an event


begins. Catastrophe coordinators from across the US and Canada check in with Property Claim Services (PCS) to find out whether we’re looking into the event—and


whether we plan to issue a catastrophe serial number. Every minute is crucial to claims departments in the early stages of what could become a catastrophe, as the implications of early decisions may be quickly magnified by volume.
