Drink News

Celebrate the return of darker, romantic autumn evenings with a cocktail from the new Autumn menu developed by Brockmans Gin. There is reason for revelling, as this much-admired spirit will be celebrating its 10th birthday next month.

When thinking of glamorous gins, Brockmans, in its distinctive and tactile black bottle, is the go-to gin for a delectable cocktail. With its notes of Bulgarian coriander, soft, rounded harmonies of blueberries and blackberries plus Valencian orange peel and a bottom note created by Juniper berries from Tuscany, this inspired

combination gives Brockmans an intensely smooth aroma and taste.

One of the new concoctions for Autumn is Brockmans Twilight - a sharp, deep and complex cocktail which looks very innocent – and then hits you with the bite of black pepper. Brockmans Gin - always full of surprises.

THE TWILIGHT HOUR

Ingredients:

• 40ml Brockmans Gin • 10ml Maraschino Liqueur • 10ml Yellow Chartreuse • 25ml Lemon Juice - Freshly Squeezed • 15ml Gomme Syrup

Garnish: A lemon twist and black pepper for the rim.

Method:

Run lemon around the rim of a stemmed coupe glass and upturn over ground pepper. Pour all the liquid ingredients into a shaker with ice; add a couple of twists of ground pepper and then hard shake. Double strain the liquid into the glass and garnish with a twist of lemon.
