Monday 17th July Reminder to all students and parents who have sons taking part in work experience that the deadline for Out of Area placements passed on Friday 7th April. Please encourage your son over Easter break to follow-up with the places they’ve applied to about whether the employer is able to help your son or not. If not, please move on to other choices for him through his list of preferred places, or consider out of database options for him. Please ask your sons to come back to see me at the start of summer term if they’ve any updates or signed forms for me, or indeed, if they are not clear about anything. Remember after Friday 26th May we pass the extra charges for late confirmed placements onto parents. After Easter break we have only 5 working weeks for everything to be confirmed (ie Employer Agreement and Parent Consent forms back completed to Mr Hannington, or out of database forms fully complete and back to him). Happy Easter and thank you for your support.

Years 11, 12 & 13 Careers and
Work Experience Survey Please ask your son to complete this if he has not done so already by the end of the Easter Break. It is located on Moodle under Student Support and is the second item down on the list. The deadline for everyone to have completed this by Friday 7th April, before the end of Spring term – it is compulsory to complete. It assists with planning for future careers interviews and work experience processes. It is a vital part of our work to receive constructive feedback on our processes, which forms an integral part of our Investor in Careers and Ofsted processes. It should only take about 5 minutes or less.
Thank your son for taking the time to complete this survey. Their feedback is very important to us and will be evaluated, shared and acted upon, where necessary and possible. Please do ask your son to share their opinions directly with Mr Hannington if they feel they require urgent help or wish to resolve any matters urgently which have been raised. Thank you.
