Window cleaning company/employee of the year 2017 winners


Southampton-based window cleaning company Progress Cleaning Services celebrate their 50th year in business with an award for ‘Company of the Year 2017’.


The prestigious award was presented to Progress Cleaning directors Kevin and Ian Robson by FWC executive Scott Smith and Secretary Beryl Murray at the Cleaning Show Excel in London on 14th March this year.


In a closely matched competition, the entrants were narrowed down to 10 finalists. Progress Cleaning, the worthy winners, impressed the judges with the number of qualifications and accreditations they hold including; FWC Safety Accredited Member (SAM) also with their commitment to training, their excellent health and safety record, the length of time in the industry, and their glowing testimonials.


Employee Robert Baker of Art Cleaning (Midlands) Ltd has worked within the window cleaning industry since the age of 15– a staggering 51 years and at the age of 66, is still as passionate about it as the day he started. Robert won ‘Employee of the year 2017’ with his impressive portfolio of testimonials, training, length of time in the industry, and achievements – nominated by his employers; Robert was awarded a glass trophy, certificate and cash prize at the Cleaning Show Excel on 14th March by FWC executive Scott Smith and Secretary Beryl Murray.


The judging panel consisting of five FWC executive committee members scored the entrants on their qualifications, training, reasons for entry, testimonials and length of time in window cleaning before narrowing down the many entrants to 10 finalist.
