Another characteristic of K-Lab is its use of modular open-fronted systems, which appear in various applications, starting from the K-System open-fronted base unit, the structure of which can contain pull-out fittings – drawers and shelves – or fixed components such as the solid wood bottom shelf or the tubular steel footrest. Fixed or pull-out peninsulas can be connected to the structure. The same system is used in the tall unit (able to take built-in ovens), the wall unit and the ceiling K-System with island hood, fitted with glass shelves. These items are also equipped with LED lighting.
The frame of the new K-Table is made from the same elements as the K-System open-fronted base unit and can be personalised in new ‘metallix’ finishes or the new metal-look lacquered colours. The version on display at Living Kitchen had a
