Basingstoke-based Reality HR is making a strong start to 2017 with the appointment of Carrie-Ann Jones as a new HR adviser. This appointment will bring the total number of employees at the HR consultancy to 14 and the company now provides outsourced HR services to around 100 SMEs across the south. Jones, from Tadley, near Basingstoke, brings more than 10 years’ industry experience to Reality HR gained from working as an HR adviser.


Recently employed by LSH and inaugurated into its industrial team within Southampton, Daniel Rawlings is delighted to have already begun launching a number of new instructions to the market. Rawlings graduated from the University of Reading in 2013 with a BSc in real estate. Shortly after graduating he joined the commercial team of Goadsby, first in the Southampton office and later operating out of Winchester.


The 70th annual general meeting of the Southampton Property Association (SPA) saw Nella Pang re-installed as chairman for her second year of office. The meeting was held at The White Building, Cumberland Place in Southampton and sponsored by Ashville Asset Management. Pang reported that the association had hosted 36 events throughout 2016: involving skiing, a quiz, cricket, football and golf, as well as the main event of the year, the annual charity ball.


Quilter Cheviot, the investment management firm which is part of Old Mutual Wealth, has expanded its Salisbury office with the appointment of Mark Johnson as regional development manager. Johnson joins from MetLife, where he spent the past eight years as a deputy regional business director, helping the company to provide support to independent financial advisers. Prior to that, he worked for Winterthur Life, where he started his career in a sales-support role before being promoted to business development manager.


As part of the company’s ongoing commitment to enhance its client service, Winchester-based national building envelope specialist contractor the Lakesmere Group has announced the appointment of Louise Fountain to the role of business development manager. Fountain is a familiar face to many within the industry, having worked with Lakesmere for 15 years in the previous roles of sales estimator and latterly, bid manager.


Full-service PR and marketing agency McKenna Townsend has expanded its team with two new appointments. Gemma Bryan (left) and Angharad Tye-Reeve (right) both join the Ringwood- based agency as account managers, bringing a wide range of skills and experience to add to the team’s already-strong PR, marketing, advertising, media planning, events and digital expertise. Tye-Reeve has in-depth agency experience having worked across a range of sectors, including public, retail, leisure, finance and health for major brands. She will be working across a range of B2B and B2C clients at the agency including Condor Ferries, Care South, the National Marine Aquarium and Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium. Bryan has strong experience with B2B and B2C clients, gained through roles with agencies in London and the West Midlands. She has significant expertise in developing integrated PR and social media strategies for major brands and will be working with clients including Sunseeker International, the SUBWAY brand and AkzoNobel.


Philip Whitcomb, a senior solicitor in wills, tax and trusts at Moore Blatch has been awarded fellowship status by the Agricultural Law Association, one of only 127 across the UK. This is the highest qualification of the UK’s leading independent organisation devoted to the law of business of the countryside. The accreditation requires demonstration of expertise across all legal and other issues which affect farmers and landed estate owners, including farming business structures, trusts, taxation, land law, agricultural holdings, town and country planning and the Common Agricultural Policy. Whitcomb joins Ed Whittington, a specialist property lawyer and partner at Moore Blatch who was awarded the fellowship in 2016.
