TREKER Tablet with Blue Point Alert Solutions
www.treker.com
Treker recently announced a new partnership with Blue Point Alert Solutions that allows school bus driv- ers to connect directly with first responders through the use of a tablet. The tablet, which combines driver functionality and student check in/check out features all on one device, now offers an optional feature of streamlining calls to request assistance during an emergency situation. The entire system is portable, Treker said, and can be used immediately without the need for any installation. The tablet displays a map for navigating bus routes, bus stops and expected stu- dent roster changes for each bus stop. It also provides photo and audible identification for each student as they enter and exit the bus. The tablet allows for easy check-in and check-out of each student through NFC technology via card or mobile app. It offers real-time alerts from administrator for driver and from adminis- trator for parents. These alerts are automatically sent to district for any students unaccounted for at school destination and at the final bus stop.
