Many people embark on a new year with resolutions and plans to ring in the changes, but a better lifestyle can be about much more than just getting to the gym and swapping sweets for salads!

Investing in a brand new house can help create a healthier home life and perfect the balance between time spent at work and away from it.

That's why Redrow is celebrating its show home opening atWoodlands, in Horsforth Vale, near Leeds with a special new year 'pick- me-up' event and the chance to win a prize that's sure to make anyone feel better.

Happening on Saturday, January 28, it's an

opportunity to view Redrow's brand new Harrogate style show home and think about how moving house could inspire a happier and healthier 2017 and beyond.

In keeping with the theme, there's the chance to win a spa day for two people at the award winning boutique style health and beauty spa, Eastthorpe Hall, in Mirfield.

“Come January, so many of us make vows to change the way we live in a bid to be happier and healthier,” says Patsy Aiken, sales director for Redrow Homes (Yorkshire). “But creating the ideal way of living is not just about getting more exercise or cutting down on the carbs.

“Having a better home life can help us achieve it, whether that's having a modern, well- designed home in which we are able to relax and unwind; being in a beautiful location surrounded by countryside in which we can go on lovely, long walks; or being close to a popular place to live like Horsforth, with its good schools, shops, cafes and restaurants. And, of course, atWoodlands you've access to all three.”

She adds: “Where we live can help us get the mix of professional and personal life just right

and that, in itself, can lead to people being happier, less stressed and therefore healthier.”

Set amidst acres of mature trees and open space, alongside the River Aire,Woodlands is the latest addition at Horsforth Vale, following on from the success of neighbouring developments The Green and Abode. It will eventually feature 125 three, four and five- bedroom new homes, with exteriors inspired by the Arts & Crafts design era and modern family-friendly interiors.

The Heritage Collection homes currently start from £404,950 for a four-bedroom York semi, while a four-bedroom detached stone and render Shaftesbury can be bought for £454,950.

The development is located on the site of the former Riverside Mills, off Low Hall Road, and the homes will enjoy a splendid backdrop of mature trees and open space leading down to the river.

The new Harrogate show home will take pride promoting the homes designed, decorated and dressed by the experts. It's a property that has been designed with all the needs of the modern family in mind but without sacrificing style in the quest for functionality. An open- plan kitchen, living and dining area allows light to flood in creating a delightful space in which to spend time as a family, but the Harrogate also offers a separate lounge for those moments of peace and tranquillity. With four good-sized bedrooms, including master with en-suite, it's a home that's as welcoming as it is commanding.

Join Redrow atWoodlands, off Low Hall Road, on Saturday, January 28th, between 12 noon and 4pm to celebrate a healthy home and a happy lifestyle. Alternatively find out more online: www.redrow.co.uk/woodlands or call 0113 318 1107.

Buyers can now register for phase two of The Gables in Doncaster

Prospective home owners in Doncaster can now register their interest in the second phase of Muse Developments' sought-after The Gables scheme, which benefits from a convenient town centre location which appeals to the independent lifestyle of modern buyers.

All 54 one, two and three bed homes in the initial phase were snapped up by a range of buyers including downsizers, young professionals and single occupiers, who were attracted to the scheme's mix of low maintenance, new build homes in a great central location.

Work is well underway for the second phase which will include a further 43 one and two bed homes. The sales office and show homes will launch in the spring, giving buyers an opportunity to see first-hand the high-quality finish of these contemporary, thoughtfully-designed homes. The first homes will be ready to move into by summer 2017.

The Gables forms part of the £300 million regeneration of Doncaster Civic and Cultural Quarter, which Muse is delivering in partnership with Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council. Muse also exchanged contracts with Savoy Cinemas for the

delivery of a six-screen cinema at the scheme, which will complement the successful Cast theatre and create further high-quality family leisure facilities in the town centre.

Comments Hollie Reynolds, residential sales and marketing manager at Muse: “As we kick-start the New Year, I'm sure lots of tentative buyers are starting to think seriously about making their move up or down the property ladder. Our one and two bedroom homes benefit from good transport links, shops, restaurants, schools and more, within walking distance, making them perfect for first-time buyers or those looking to downsize and enjoy life with a host of great amenities on their doorstep. We'd urge interested buyers to register their interest now so that they can be the first to hear about our show home launches in the spring, and have their pick of plots when the first homes are released.”

Buyers can register their interest in phase two of The Gables by emailing sales@thegablesdoncaster.co.uk or calling 01302 378989, or by booking an appointment to meet with the sales team at Muse's sister scheme, The Residence Lakeside in Doncaster, to find out more.
